SignalHire is a contact-finding & sourcing platform for recruiters, sales professionals. It exposes confirmed emails and phone numbers from public professional profiles, typically via a chrome extension which overlays contact data on top of a LinkedIn profile. A recruiter uses it to search for a candidates direct email rather than waiting on an InMail response. It’s the same way a sales rep uses it to get in front of a prospect.

The answer is a little different if you arrived here because your own contact information turned up in a search on SignalHire; however, SignalHire compiles its database using publicly available professional data, and you can remove your profile through the opt-out form covered later on this page.

For one, what is SignalHire and how do you know if it is a valid and registered business or are they just collecting data to sell on? The second one covers all of that in full below including details on how to opt-out if you want your info removed from there.

Is SignalHire legit?

SignalHire New Dashboard

If a site that brings up your own contact details and you are sceptical about it, this is a fair starting point for doubting its red flag on you. When a searcher lands on this question they already have a real and common reason to double check before having any level of trust in the answer, with 24% of consumers (3,500 US respondents) finding that they experienced a data privacy issue according to Deloitte’s June 2025 Connected Consumer survey.

Yes, SignalHire is legit. SignalHire Sp. z o. o. is a registered company headquartered in Warsaw, Poland, with a published privacy policy, a Chrome Web Store listing under its own developer account, and review histories on G2 and Capterra going back to 2016.

It fetches contact data based on professional information available in public domain, just like a search engine indexes the sources, not from hacked accounts or sensitive private breaches. The checks below. And each check covers in turn the registration, recap and a look at the privacy commitments.

Is SignalHire a registered company?

SignalHire About Us page showing company address and contact details

SignalHire operates as SignalHire Sp. z o. o., registered at ZŁOTA Street, No. 75A, Loc. 7, 00-819 Warszawa, Poland. That address and entity name are published on the company’s own About Us page and repeated in its Chrome Web Store developer listing, which is the kind of detail a fly-by-night scraper site typically does not publish. Official information on its founding year is moot, as SignalHire itself does not provide a founding date for the company online, although third-party sites state that the firm was founded in 2015, meaning treat something seemingly established as a fact only as an external estimation.

What do reviews say about SignalHire’s accuracy?

Glowing 97 accuracy ring above three star rated review platform tiles

That first number, human searches talk about it, and accuracy matters beyond the search of one person. IBM estimates that poor B2B contact data costs organizations roughly $3.1 trillion a year in bounced outreach and wasted pipeline work, which is the industry-wide problem a review score is really standing in for.

Capterra SignalHire reviews page with 4.3 star rating

Three independent ratings from three different platforms, direct from the source, not aggregated from one location, tell the same story:

Platform Rating Review count Recurring theme
G2 4.0 / 5 70 reviews Accurate contact data, occasional outdated records on older profiles
Capterra 4.3 / 5 (Ease of use: 4.4) 34 reviews Fast Chrome extension, praised customer support in most reviews
Chrome Web Store 4.5 / 5 468 ratings, ~400,000 users High satisfaction at extension level, consistent with the dashboard reviews

G2 SignalHire product page showing 4 out of 5 rating

Ratings current as of early August 2026: G2, Capterra, Chrome Web Store. Those numbers shift over time so rather than treating any one number as permanent, refer directly to the source pages immediately before citing them.

Is my data safe with SignalHire?

Character guarding a glowing shield orbited by privacy compliance badges

Gartner projects that three-quarters of the world’s population will be covered by modern privacy regulation for their personal data, compared with a minimal share just ten years ago. SignalHire is then working in inside that reality by default, even though it has nothing to do with the platform / indexing professional profile and what they publish by choice (or not).

Compliance frameworks SignalHire states

The privacy policy on SignalHire doesn’t say something vague like “we try to keep your data private,” but rather points you to a specific list that can be checked:

  • A minimum commitment to GDPR brought across the business
  • UK Data Protection Act 2018 and Retained GDPR (for residents of the UK)
  • The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) (Applicable to Residents of California )
  • The California Consumer Privacy Act, if you were exposed to the CCPA in California, 3.

The full policy is publicly posted and dated, most recently updated in January 2023, at the Privacy Policy page.

What isn’t published yet

As of today, SignalHire has not published a SOC 2 certification or similar third-party security audit. If that specific certification is important to your assessment, ask SignalHire directly for it; don’t take the privacy-law and CCPA commitments at face value because a security-audit certification and a privacy law commitment answer two different questions.

How do I get off SignalHire?

Three stage sequence of a profile card fading into a completed removal checkmark

Go straight to the Profile Opt-Out page. Submit your business email and the URL of the profile you want removed, and SignalHire states it aims to process the request promptly upon receipt. You can also email support@signalhire.com directly if the form does not work for you. That’s just the same removal path that SignalHire’s own privacy policy sends people to, not a workaround.

How to submit a SignalHire opt-out request

The form is really quick to file as it only asks for two items of information. What you need to do before seeking this tops:

  • Business email, so SignalHire can verify that the profile is yours
  • URL of the profile from which you want to remove signalhire. com/profiles/name/id
  • By submitting the form you are confirming that you are the person ADD NAME who holds this profile, or that you are authorised to act on behalf of them.

That is the entire submission. If you are not comfortable using the form, simply email support@signalhire.com with the same name and profile URL, this will do the same thing as mentioned above, and reach to people from team anyway.

How long does data removal take?

The opt-out page itself says that SignalHire intends to comply with removal requests “immediately after receipt,” but without guaranteeing a number of days. In the other case, SignalHire’s general privacy policy according to similar requests for access and/or rectification of data is 14 – 30 days, or less if required by local law. Its published commitment for profile removal doesn’t specify an exact number, so consider the 14 to 30 day promise as a maximum response time and not an expected wait time for straightforward removals.

Can I stop my LinkedIn profile from appearing in SignalHire searches?

Partially. SignalHire scans information that is publicly available online, including public LinkedIn profile data, so you can simply limit what information future indexing will access by making your LinkedIn profiles less accessible. This does not remove a profile that has been already indexed from SignalHire. There is direct opt-out form for already-existing entry above; changes you make to LinkedIn privacy settings are a preventive measure against new indexing, not action that retroactively causes removal.

Is SignalHire used for recruiters?

Two figures connected by a glowing hiring pipeline, candidate card to contact card

Yes, recruiters are the primary user group. Complete Sourcing Workflow: As a signal hire you can search for candidates based on their role, title, or company name; get their verified email + phone number; save the findings onto a list and export it to an ATS/CRM. Prospect contact discovery is built on the same foundational tool used by sales and marketing teams but recruiting was the initial and downstream use case for this platform.

What recruiting tasks does SignalHire help with?

In SignalHire, a recruiter usually performs four steps: Search candidates by title, company, location or Boolean String → get a verified email and phone number for that particular match → save qualifying candidates into a list or Job Project → export to an ATS / CRM (typically Salesforce, HubSpot, Recruit CRM or Zoho). A recruiter who replaced static list sourcing with real-time verified contact discovery cut time-to-hire in half on niche technical roles, which is the kind of concrete outcome the workflow above is built to produce. The recruiting solutions page covers this workflow in more detail.

How is SignalHire different from LinkedIn Recruiter?

Split panel diagram of broad candidate search handing off to a direct contact reveal

LinkedIn Recruiter searches and screens candidate profiles within the LinkedIn network itself. That search stops short, SignalHire doesn’t compete with it. but instead, follows it up: Even if you just got a candidate through LinkedIn Recruiter, SignalHire will surface their direct email and phone number, so an InMail that would otherwise sit unread for weeks becomes a direct email instead. The majority of recruiting teams that leverage SignalHire also use either LinkedIn Recruiter or LinkedIn Sales Navigator for the discovery stage, and then move to SignalHire in the subsequent outreach phase.

Do sales teams use SignalHire too?

Yes, though an ancillary but real-world case. Sales and business development teams use SignalHire the same way recruiters do: searching by company, title, or industry, and then getting a verified email or direct phone number for B2B prospecting, instead of hoping to guess an address or hearing back from a generic contact form submission. The sales solutions page covers this use case specifically, though the platform’s core design and the majority of its published case studies center on recruiting.

What this means for you

Two figures on separate paths meeting in a shared pool of resolving light

As an experiment, if you are assessing SignalHire as a sourcing instrument, the aboveable facts can be checked in less than five minutes. a registered entity of Poland, review histories going back to 2016 across three independent platforms and workflow based on search + verify + save + export. If you are here because your information has been found in a search, the opt-out form takes less than one minute to complete and does not require an account. The two claims were each backed up by separate sources, and neither reader has to take SignalHire’s word for either: every link above goes straight back to the primary source.
